Boosted Upload and Download Speeds
Huge improvements to upload and download speeds. Beneficial to all users, but especially helpful for Pro tier and Studio tier users.
Key Highlights
- Pro tier users and above will see significant speed increases ranging from 1.5x to 10x depending on location.
- Non-US based users will see the biggest speed increases.
- Hobbyist tier users may temporarily see increases as well, but due to cost constraints, this feature is likely soon to be exclusive to Pro tiers and above.
Background
A couple things we’ve found out over the last year since launch is that a large number of Blender users and our customers are located overseas and may possibly be on slower internet connections. We’ve also found that some of you may even use VPNs that further slow down their connection.
Across a few interviews, I’ve come to find out that many of you have larger .blend files and that uploading can become a tedious task especially when iterating on a scene and rendering it out each time with minor tweaks.
With that in mind, we’ve made a number of changes to improve the upload and download speeds for all of our users. This is the first of many optimizations we’ll be making to ensure Renderjuice stays easy to use and never an impediment.
Over the next few months, we’ll continue to improve the process of getting your renders to us in a reliable and fast manner.
